Mayoral Thanksgiving Service, St Mary’s Church Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire
Robert has been invited to join the Lord Lieutenant of Lincolnshire, the High Sheriff of Lincolnshire, and Father Andrew Cole at a Thanksgiving Service for the work of the Mayor of North East Lincolnshire, Cllr Christina McGilligan-Fell.

BBC Radio Lincolnshire Interview
Robert will be interviewed by BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s Rod Whiting, on the subject of faith and health, and a conference Robert is jointly hosting at the Bishop Grosseteste University, Lincoln on Saturday 4th March 2017, called ‘Forging the Links’; a conference spotlighting how faith groups can work to assist communities in respect to health and social care.

Harvest Festival Address
Robert will give the Address (taking the text of the Gospel of St Luke 12:16-31) at the Harvest Festival Service at St Lawrence’s Church, Thornton Curtis, North Lincolnshire. Service starts at 6.30 pm.

Barton Town Band Awards Evening & Concert
As President of the Barton Town Band, Robert will be presenting the annual awards and certificates to the members of the Junior and Youth sections of the Barton Town Band, at their Summer Concert at St Mary’s Church, Barton on Humber, North Lincolnshire. Starts 7pm. Tickets available on the door.

On Thursday 14th January, Robert received his MA (Spirituality, Theology and Health) from the world-renowned opera singer, Sir Thomas Allen, Chancellor of Durham University.

Book Launch – Lamplight in the Shadows
Following a very successful private launch party at the historic Wilderspin School in Barton upon Humber on Thursday 15th January, a public launch of Robert’s debut novel Lamplight in the Shadows took place at The George Inn, George Street, Barton on Humber, North Lincolnshire on Saturday 17th January.

Fundraising for Lindsey Lodge Hospice – Update

Longitude Wood Speech
Robert will be giving a speech at noon today at the First Phase Planting of the Longitude Wood in Great Coates, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire in his role as the emissary to the John Harrison Foundation.

St Luke’s Day
Robert has been invited to give the eulogy at the lunchtime Eucharist at the Parish Church of St Mary, Barton upon Humber, North Lincolnshire on the Feast Day of St Luke the Evangelist, the patron saint of physicians.
County President – St John Ambulance
On the Feast Day of St John the Baptist, 26th June 2014, Robert was honoured to become the new County President for the Humber area of the St John Ambulance (covering East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire).
Barton Town Band
It is with great pleasure that Robert has accepted the invitation to become the new President of the award winning Barton Town Band.
The John Harrison Foundation
With effect from this month, Robert has been officially appointed as Emissary for the John Harrison Foundation, with a view to furthering the aims and ideals of the Foundation during the forthcoming (2014) Tercentenary of the Longitude Prize, and in the spirit of John Harrison.
Ours is an anthology of poetry from Fantastic Books Publishing, featuring fifteen poets and including Robert’s poem ‘An Ex-Pat’s Lament’.
